This page explains how to delete your account and personal data in Fieldcraft, the canvassing app for campaign volunteers, published by Campaign Insights (1001629955 Ontario Inc., operating as Campaign Insights). It applies to the Fieldcraft app on Google Play and the App Store.
How to request account deletion
Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app
- Open the Fieldcraft app and sign in.
- Open the menu and go to your Account settings.
- Select Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and personal data are removed.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
If you can't sign in, or you'd prefer that we handle it:
- Submit a request using our .
- Include the name and the email associated with your Fieldcraft account so we can locate it.
- We'll verify the request and confirm once your account has been deleted.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your profile — name, phone number, email, and any team or role membership.
- Your sign-in credentials and session data.
- Your in-app settings and preferences.
What is kept, and why
- Canvassing data belongs to the campaign, not to you. Voter-contact results you record in the field (voter IDs, survey responses, and notes) are owned and controlled by the campaign that assigned you. Campaign Insights only processes that data on the campaign's behalf, so deleting your volunteer account does not delete it. To have that data changed or removed, contact the campaign directly; we will help them action any valid request.
- Limited records required by law. We may retain a minimal amount of information where necessary for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, security logs), and only for as long as required.
How long deletion takes
- We delete your account and personal data from our active systems promptly once the request is verified.
- Residual copies in our routine, encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
- Any records we are legally required to keep are deleted once the applicable retention period ends.
